White Coppice started the 2025 season by holding a minute’s silence for their former treasurer and player Geoff Haydock, who died recently at the age of 81.

It followed his funeral on Monday (April 7th) at St Peter’s Church, Chorley.
Saturday’s friendly match vs Charnock Richard was the first opportunity for the club to pay their own tribute to the club stalwart.
The game itself was a 30-over contest and saw Coppice run out winners by three wickets.
Charnock Richard were bowled out for 88 with Jordan Halliday taking three wickets.
Halliday completed a good day with the bat as Nathan Shepard hit the winning runs in an unbeaten knock of 18.
Coppice play their final pre-season games next weekend with a home match against Darwen on Saturday and away at Blackpool on Sunday.
