White Coppice allrounder Vondolson Mapp has completed the Manchester Marathon.
Mapp hopes to contribute £2,000 for the club’s campaign to raise £150,000 in its 150th anniversary year from his running exploits.
Mapp was one of 36,000 runners to take part in the race, which he described as ‘brutal’.
He completed the 26.2 mile course in an impressive time of 4 hour 44 minutes despite soaring temperatures
White Coppice 1st captain Jake Smalley praised his fundraising efforts.
“I’m not sure many of the lads could compete a marathon but Von is a club legend and we’re all really proud of his efforts,” said Smalley.
