Leading North West law firm CG has donated a massive £1,000 towards White Coppice Cricket Club’s campaign to raise £150,000.
The donation to the club’s GoFundMe page is the joint biggest to date – matched only by the £1,000 from THG Ingenuity.
It brings the total amount raised on GoFundMe to £4,909.
In addition, United Utilities have donated £5,000 directly to the club’s campaign to raise £150k in our 150th anniversary year.

CG’s managing partner Stacey Turner said: “CG is very proud of its Chorley roots and White Coppice is one of the area’s most historic clubs.
“Their ground is acknowledged as one of the most picturesque in the UK and is a regular stop for walkers heading to the nearby moors.
“We’re delighted to be supporting the club’s fundraising campaign in their 150th anniversary year.”
The club’s 1st XI captain Jake Smalley: “Huge thanks to CG. The donation has given everyone at the club a massive boost as the season approaches.”
White Coppice Cricket Club was founded in 1875 but was hit for six with a bill for £29,000 to repair a leaking septic tank that services their clubhouse.
The club also want to install proper training facilities to help attract new players and introduce a junior division.
You can donate via the club’s GoFundMe page, which has an initial target of £16,000.
