Ryan Adderley and Richard Bush both scored hundreds as White Coppice 1st XI beat Standish 2nd XI by 56 runs in a high-scoring game on Saturday.
The pair shared an unbroken partnership of 228 for the third wicket – beating the 218 that Tony Moore (130) and Kyle Dixon (158) put on in 2006 vs Vernon Carus.
Standish batsman Mile Hadfield (102) threatened a memorable run chase with the third century of the match but he ran out of partners and was eventually the last man out.
Before the match started both sides observed an impeccable minute’s silence for White Coppice President Bill Cordiner and former player Steve Hilton, who have died in recent weeks.

On the morning of the match Joe Seager underwent an x-ray on his injured knee but was passed fit to play.
Bobby Wood missed out with a back injury and was replaced by Matthew McGuinn, who was making his Coppice debut.
With temperatures touching 30c skipper Jake Smalley won an important toss and had no hesitation in making first use of a glorious batting track and lightning fast outfield.
McGuinn got off the mark with a gorgeous cover drive for four and added two more boundaries before perishing off a top edged pull for 13.
His opening partner Chris Maguire reached 14 before falling to a sharp gully catch by Rob Hart to leave the score at 36-2.
However, that was the last White Coppice wicket to fall as Adderley and Bush combined for their record-breaking partnership.
Left-handed Bush looked in good touch from the word go, hitting the only six of the match with a rasping drive over point.
He scored all round the wicket, which the shot of the match being a sumptuous straight drive for four.
Adderley constantly rotated the strike – evidenced by the fact that Standish’s eight bowlers managed only one maiden from their 45 overs.
The pocket-sized allrounder has now scored 433 league runs at an average of 144, adding another red inker to his growing collection.
Adderley moved up through the gears for this second 50 and was first to three figures while Bush reached the milestone for the first time with his 14th boundary – exactly the same number as his batting partner.

In reply, Ian Aldred – the world’s unluckiest bowler – got opener Connor Goodier to play on for seven and very nearly had Hadfield LBW but his appeal was turned down.
Hadfield combined with Rhys James (48) to put on 90 for the second wicket before the latter hit Smalley to Ibby Akram in the covers.
He then added another 67 with Daniel Wood-Knowles (25) as they reached 171-2 off 30 overs – needing just another 94 runs off the last 15 overs to complete a memorable win.
However, Matt Tinsley had Wood-Knowles LBW two balls after the restart as Standish lost their last eight wickets for just 37 runs.
It was Tinsley’s 200th career wicket and he finished with the impressive figures of 4-39 off 12 overs.
Ibby Akram was desperately unlucky not to take a wicket from his nine overs but his brother Ussy finished with 3-21 against his former club.
Hadfield looked like he was going to be left stranded high and dry on 99 not out when last man Austin Williams walked out to the crease but he got to three figures before being bowled for 102.
Special mention to Joe Seager, who covered every inch of grass in the field despite nursing a knee injury.
The win took White Coppice to fifth in the league ahead of next week’s home match against Longridge. Standish slipped to bottom but deserved more for a wholehearted performance.
